About Us
Back in 1895, Mr Hayden started testing the eyes of people who needed help with their vision. In 1899, he became the only certified and registered optician in the borough. Mr Pennington, Alex’s grandfather, was involved from the early 1900s and together they built the practice.
More recently in October 2025, Alex and his father Andrew, decided to preserve the family legacy and bought back the business.
